Dear Applicant:

Thank you for your interest in learning more about a career with St. Johns County Fire Rescue. We are pleased to provide you with the following information about our county and fire rescue department.

St. Johns County is home to such tourist attractions as historic St. Augustine, the World Golf Hall of Fame, the Tournament Players Championship, and 42 miles of Atlantic Ocean coastline. Located in northeast Florida, our county is a great place to live, work, and play.

Over 200 men and women provide fire and rescue services to citizens and visitors of St. Johns County. Our combined department encompasses 18 fire rescue stations over 608 square miles, responding to more than 19,000 calls each year for service. Over 80% of these calls are medical in nature. St. Johns County Fire Rescue is a growing department dedicated to providing those services of a progressive fire rescue system. We are proud of our organization and our personnel, recognizing the value each employee brings to this department. We are committed to establishing a diverse department of qualified and motivated firefighters ready to accept the challenges of one of the most rewarding professions I know.

Making the decision to pursue a fire rescue career takes courage and dedication. Should you decide to become a firefighter, I encourage you to explore the benefits of joining our team.

Robert V. Hall, Jr.
