PetSmart to Open Store in U.S. 1 Mall

St. Augustine Record, April 11, 2013. The national pet supply retailer PetSmart will open a store in St. Augustine in the Seabridge Square shopping center on U.S. 1, in the plaza formerly home to Kmart.
PetSmart Inc., which was founded in 1986, is a retail chain operating in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. The company sells specialty pet supplies and services such as grooming and dog training, cat and dog boarding facilities, and daycare. PetSmart to Open Store

Northrop Grumman – 1,000 New Jobs

Northrop Grumman announced that it is creating these centers of excellence to improve its strategic alignment with its customers' need for increasingly innovative and affordable products, services and solutions. It will establish a Manned Aircraft Design Center of Excellence in Melbourne, Florida, which will include work currently being done at other company locations. Commercial Developers Eyeing St. Johns County

Jacksonville Business Journal, Friday, February 8, 2013. The housing boom in St. Johns County is pushing developers to consider commercial construction there. Boom, of course, is relative to the times, as are the new developments. Homebuilders in St. Johns pulled just more than 2,000 permits in 2012, less than half of the number pulled at the market's peak in 2005. Airport Authority Completes Phase II of Runway Improvement Project

January 23, 2013. The St. Augustine – St. John's County Airport Authority is pleased to announce the completion of the last phase of a multi-year Runway and Taxiway Improvement Program at the Northeast Florida Regional Airport. With the opening of Taxiway B, full-runway length taxiway access is now in place. This final taxiway segment located along along the southwestern edge of the 8,000-foot long runway, also marks significant safety and operational enhancements. Runway Improvement Project.
