Notice is hereby given that St. Johns County, Florida will hold a workshop/special meeting on short term vacation rentals on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 beginning at 9:00 a.m., in the City of St. Augustine Beach City Hall, located at 2200 A1A South, St. Augustine Beach, Florida. The purpose of the special meeting will be to participate in discussions regarding short term vacation rentals. It is anticipated that one or more St. Johns County Commissioner may attend and participate at this community workshop/special meeting. This is a workshop/special meeting only, no formal action will be taken. St. Johns County staff will be hosting the fourth and final stakeholders meeting regarding proposed amendments to Articles II, IV, and VI of Land Development Code pertaining to environmental, technical, and planning topics. We would like to invite you to discuss staff’s responses to Land Development Code amendments proposed by several different public interest groups, on March 14, 2019 at 3:00 p.m., at the Permit Center second floor conference room, 4040 Lewis Speedway. The purpose of the meeting is to provide staff’s proposed amendments in response to the initial requests and gain a better understanding of the proposals and identify those items with the potential to improve upon. Provided below are two synopsis regarding the proposed amendments. Synopsis of Amendments | Proposed LDC Changes
St Johns County Growth Management has improved the permitting process to save time and money for applicants wishing to obtain permits for new residential construction or home renovations. Applicants are now only required to complete one Building Permit Application that contains both a Clearance Sheet and a Building Permit Application. Applicants may submit requests for a clearance sheet and building permit simultaneously if they wish, or sequentially (clearance sheet then building permit) at their choice. The North Florida Transportation Planning Organization is developing the 2040 Long Range Transportation Plan. In our first round of public meetings you told us your priorities. Based on that input and projected funding, we’ve developed a draft Cost Feasible Plan. Please come to a public meeting to see the proposed projects and alternatives. Special Meeting of the Board of County Commissioners
The Board of County Commissioners of St. Johns County, Florida held a special meeting Friday, February 7, 2014. Electronic Game Promotions
St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners has adopted Ordinance 2011-37, regulating the operation of Adult Arcade Amusement Centers and Electronic Game Promotions. To remain in operation, Ordinance 2011-37 required all establishments operating Electronic Game Promotions as of December 31, 2010 to register with St. Johns County no later than December 2, 2011. Home Owner Associations with Architectural Review Authority Registration.
The Land Development Code was recently amended requiring homeowner associations with architectural review authority to register with the County. The requirements and procedures are outlined in Sec. 5.03.02.H beginning on page V-14.
