Pet Center Holiday Hours – In celebration of the Christmas holiday, the St. Johns County Pet Center will be closed Friday, December 24, Saturday, December 25 and Monday, December 27, 2021. Animal rescue groups are dedicated to saving pets and encouraging adoptions. These groups take unwanted, abandoned, abused, or stray pets and attempt to find suitable homes for them. This list of rescues has both breed-specific and mixed breed organizations.
The Leash Law and Dangerous Dog Ordinance, was established with everyone's safety in mind. By keeping your pet on a leash, you protect your pet from traffic, other animals, and reactive people. Learn more about leash laws and other rules that help the community.
