Movie in the Park: Moana – Bring your family and join us as we watch Moana at the Solomon Calhoun Community Center football field, 1300 Duval St. The free movie begins at 9 p.m. and registration is required as space is limited. Picnic baskets are welcome; however, glass containers are prohibited. To comply with CDC social distancing guidelines, each space will be marked six feet apart and each ticket will admit up to a family of five. Face coverings will not be required to be worn while in the assigned square, but should be worn otherwise. Movie in the Park: Moana Registration.
August Freshwater Fish Camp – Registration is open for our week-long summer camp designed to teach children freshwater fishing skills and boater safety. From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., August 2 through 6, campers will experience fishing with proper bait and tackle, learn ways to handle and clean fish for cooking, and explore the habitat and biology of fish. To be eligible, campers much have completed the 6th grade. Campers will receive one rod/reel and a tackle box full of freshwater tackle to keep after camp is finished. Summer Exploration Camps – Looking for an opportunity to that will allow your children a chance to explore the outdoors and gain valuable educational experience? Registration is now open for our Explorations Camps for elementary and middle school age children. Camp for kids ages 5 to 8 will be August 2 through 6. Camp for kids ages 9 to 12 will be August 9 through 13. Camp for kids in grades 6 through 9 will be July 19 through 23.
