November 10, 2025 – SJC Beach Services Sells Record Number of Driving Passes During 2025 Beach Toll Season

St. Johns County Beach Services sold a record number of driving passes during the 2025 beach toll season, the first season in which credit card payments were an option at County beach toll booths.

Fort Matanzas Beach Ramp Improvements

Beginning Nov. 17, St. Johns County, in partnership with the National Park Service (NPS), will close the Fort Matanzas beach ramp for construction through May 2026.

On Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025, the St. Johns County Parks and Recreation Department is hosting its second annual Family Color Run 5K at 9 a.m. at the St Johns County Fairgrounds (5840 SR 207 E., Elkton).

SJC Parks & Recreation Recognized as a Certified Autism Center

In April 2024, St. Johns County Parks & Recreation achieved the designation of Certified Autism Center through the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES).

This distinction comes after a comprehensive program of staff training, heightened awareness efforts, and an on-site review of county parks and facilities.
