Pavement Management – Maintenance (M&R)

Description

Milling and resurfacing restores a roadway’s Pavement Condition Index (PCI) value to 97 (i.e., mill and overlay). Typically, milling and resurfacing is performed only on roads above the critical condition (PCI=55) or roads above the critical condition that exhibit developing structural defects/distress. The resulting pavement surfaces are completely free of defects and expected to have a long service life or a service life greater than five years. The Fiscal Year 2025 budget is $7,000,000.
