On Friday, April 5, the St. Johns County Parks and Recreation Department celebrated the launch of its “Enjoy, Don’t Destroy” anti-vandalism campaign with a kickoff event at Julington Creek Plantation Park.

April 2, 2024 – St. Johns County Announces $123 Million Regional Park Plan to Begin in 2024

On April 2, 2024, the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) unanimously authorized the County Administrator to move forward with an estimated $123 million plan to construct five regional parks and community centers.

The St. Johns County Parks and Recreation Department is launching “Enjoy, Don’t Destroy” – an anti-vandalism campaign aimed at preserving the cleanliness and beauty of our County’s beautiful public resources and conserving County funds.

Come for a thrilling day of swimming, running, and biking, when participants from 5 to 14 get to compete in three age-appropriate brackets at the Solomon Calhoun Community Center!


Reel in the Fun – 2024 Kids’ Catch & Release Fishing Tournament May 5 | 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Come out for family fishing fun, where kids can compete for prizes based on the weight of the fish they catch.


2024 Bartram Living History Fest May 11 | 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Learn about the history of St. Johns County from the 18th century to the present day with hands-on exhibits and tours.
