Join us for Park and Recreation Month!

The St. Johns County Parks and Recreation Department has announced a slate of fun community events and activities for July’s exciting Park and Recreation Month celebration.

On July 11, St. Johns County Parks and Recreation Director Ryan Kane and St. Johns County Parks Foundation Executive Director Marithza Ross were special guests on the local Facebook show Sunny TV, promoting all things parks-related.

St. Johns County Hosting Community Meeting for Input on Proposed Collier-Blocker-Puryear Park Upgrades

St. Johns County will host a community meeting from 6 to 7 p.m. on July 17 at the Solomon Calhoun Community Center (1300 Duval St., St. Augustine) to discuss the master planning effort for upgrades to Collier-Blocker-Puryear Park (10 N. Holmes Blvd.) and solicit feedback from area residents.

SJC Parks and Recreation Highlights Accessibility Options with All-Abilities Paddle Event During Parks and Recreation Month

The St. Johns County Parks and Recreation Department will highlight the accessibility options of its programs at the All-Abilities Paddle kayaking event on July 19, as part of its Parks and Recreation Month celebration.

Community Meeting July 17 | 6 – 7 p.m.

St. Johns County will host a community meeting from 6 to 7 p.m. on July 17 at the Solomon Calhoun Community Center (1300 Duval St., St. Augustine) to discuss the master planning effort for upgrades to Collier-Blocker-Puryear Park (10 N. Holmes Blvd.) and solicit feedback from area residents.

County staff, including the planning team, will attend the meeting to answer questions in an open-house format, presenting early concepts and collaborating directly with residents to gather ideas and identify project priorities.
