St. Johns County to Hold Groundbreaking Ceremony for Fire Station 11, Sheriff’s Southwest Operations Center
St. Johns County will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the planned Fire Station 11 and Sheriff’s Southwest Operations Center at 4900 Cypress Links Blvd., Elkton.
The Board of County Commissioners approved a $10 million budget for the design and construction of a combined facility for St. Johns County Fire Rescue and St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, to be named Fire Station 11 and Sheriff’s Southwest Operations Center. This facility will be located next to the St. Johns Golf Club, with easy access to the State Road 207-Interstate 95 corridor for efficient response times within the area. St. Johns County Public Works anticipates the facility opening in the summer of 2024.
