St. Johns County Recognizes November as Adoption Month

At the November 7, 2023, St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners Regular Meeting, Commissioner Krista Joseph presented a proclamation to Family Integrity Program (FIP) staff recognizing November as Adoption Month.

In observing Adoption Month, St. Johns County recognizes the valuable contributions of adoptive parents who have found reward in their commitment to improve the quality of life for children; and remembers all the children who are in foster care waiting to be adopted as part of a loving and caring family.

The Family Integrity Program is a community-based care lead agency contracted with the Department of Children and Families. The Family Integrity Program’s mission is to work in partnership with the State of Florida and the local community to develop, implement and manage a highly effective, strength-based community-based system of care for abused and neglected children and their families. The Family Integrity Program provides different types of intervention, understanding that not one child or family is the same.
