EOC Annex Building

Description

This project will construct an annex building to the County Emergency Operations Center. This building will allow for interface with responders and the public while providing effective social distancing between the EOC staff, public, response personnel and from each other, thus reducing the risk of spreading a pandemic virus in the community. Limiting exposure of the EOC is a priority to prevent this central response coordination site from being disrupted. The building will be used to train inoculation administration, train virus test administration, to distribute PPE, staff offices, and for response and recovery resource storage, such as PPE and hand washing stations. This is a simple structure to design; the site is currently developed County property and is on the County EOC site. Therefore, site acquisition, environmental assessment, and permitting are simplified. The Fiscal Year 2025 budget is $1,266,680.
