St. Johns County Presents Legislative Update

The County was one of the featured speakers at the St. Johns Chamber July 11th Legislative Update event.
On July 11, St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners Chair Krista Joseph was one of the featured speakers at the St. Johns Chamber of Commerce’s annual Legislative Update event. Chair Joseph provided an update on the Fiscal Year 2025-26 State Budget, which includes $1.5 million in funding for two important initiatives in St. Johns County: the development of the Florida Museum of Black History and improvements to the Interstate 95 and International Golf Parkway interchange. The Office of Public Affairs produced a video to capture a summary of the presentations.
With the end of the legislative session in Tallahassee, the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce hosted the event at the Embassy Suites by Hilton of St. Augustine for members of the legislative delegation and local elected officials to discuss decisions that will directly impact St. Johns County.
Along with Chair Joseph, the speakers included: Rep. Sam Greco, Rep. Kim Kendall, Shorty Robbins for Rep. Judson Sapp, Sen. Tom Leek, St. Augustine Beach Mayor Dylan Rumrell, and St. Augustine Mayor Nancy Sikes-Kline.
