Local Artist Showcases and Free Community Programming Will Continue Across St. Johns County this September as the Festival Celebrates 10 Years
As Sing Out Loud Festival celebrates its 10-year anniversary, organizers announced the festival’s marquee Francis Field Weekend will move to May beginning in 2027, positioning the event for continued growth and long-term sustainability.
The multi-day Francis Field Weekend has become a signature component of Sing Out Loud Festival, bringing top-tier talent such as Hozier, Mumford & Sons, and Noah Kahan – along with thousands of music fans – to downtown St. Augustine each year. Beginning in 2027, the Francis Field Weekend will shift to the third weekend in May. The shift reflects the festival’s continued evolution as it enters its second decade, with a focus on strengthening the overall experience for artists, fans, partners, and the community.
As part of this transition, Francis Field Weekend will not take place in 2026 as the festival prepares for its move to May beginning in 2027.
While Francis Field Weekend transitions to its new May schedule, the free Sing Out Loud Local Artist Showcases will return this September as part of the festival’s 10-year anniversary celebration. The showcases will once again feature more than 100 performances by local and regional musicians across multiple venues throughout St. Johns County. Additional community programming scheduled for September includes the St. Augustine Songwriters Festival, St. Augustine Record Fair, and other events that highlight the region’s vibrant music culture.
Festival organizers shared the following message with fans:“To our Sing Out Loud friends and family,
Sing Out Loud Festival launched 10 years ago, and each year we’ve grown alongside our artists, fans, and community. As we look ahead, we’re evolving to ensure the best possible experience for everyone who makes it special.
The marquee Francis Field Weekend will move to May beginning in 2027, creating a stronger foundation for the festival in the years to come.
This September, Sing Out Loud will continue to highlight the local and regional artists who define the festival. The free Local Artist Showcases will take place throughout the month, featuring more than 100 performances alongside the St. Augustine Songwriters Festival, St. Augustine Record Fair, and additional programming across St. Johns County.
As we celebrate 10 years of Sing Out Loud, we’re grateful for the artists, venues, partners, and fans who have helped shape the festival into what it is today.
We look forward to marking this milestone together this September and launching the next chapter of Sing Out Loud in May 2027.”
Additional details about the September 2026 Local Artist Showcases and community programming will be announced in the coming months. Applications for venues interested in hosting Local Artist Showcase performances will open in April, followed by artist applications in May.
