Safe Streets for All
Safety Action Plan for St. Johns County
St. Johns County invites residents to help identify roadway safety concerns through an interactive online comment map as part of the Safe Streets for All Safety Action Plan initiative.
Share Your Feedback
Residents are encouraged to visit the project website and drop a pin on the interactive map to highlight areas where safety improvements may be needed.
Community members can share feedback on locations they travel regularly, such as intersections, pedestrian crossings, bicycle routes, speeding concerns, or areas without sidewalks, while also viewing five years of high-severity crash data, including pedestrian and bicycle incidents.
Public input will help identify priority locations and guide development of the Safety Action Plan, which aims to improve conditions for all roadway users. The plan is being developed in coordination with county departments, local municipalities, law enforcement, and transportation partners.
Project Timeline
Public engagement will remain open through June 12, 2026. The final Safety Action Plan is expected in August 2026, with adoption by the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners anticipated in September 2026.
Safety Action Plan Focus
- Identifying priority locations for safety improvements
- Gathering community input on roadway concerns
- Developing projects and policies that prioritize safety
- Monitoring progress and outcomes over time
About the Initiative
Funded through a federal Safe Streets for All grant, the countywide Safety Action Plan will identify locations where fatal and serious injury crashes occur and outline strategies to reduce future incidents through infrastructure improvements, education, enforcement, and policy updates.
This initiative supports the St. Johns County Strategic Plan by emphasizing proactive planning, responsible infrastructure investment, and continued stewardship of the county’s transportation network.
