St. Johns County Utilities invites the public to celebrate the completion of the State Road 207 Water Reclamation Facility on Thursday, October 15. The ceremony will include remarks and a ribbon cutting, followed by tours of the facility. The Office of Public Affairs produced a video highlighting this important project.

Where: State Road 207 Water Reclamation Facility, 3055 State Road 207, Elkton, FL 32033.
Upon entering the facility, follow the access road toward the back of the property.
What: The State Road 207 Water Reclamation Facility, which came online May 11, 2026, treats wastewater and produces reclaimed water for irrigation, helping conserve drinking water supplies and protect local waterways.
The facility has an initial treatment capacity of 3.25 million gallons per day, with the ability to expand to 6.5 million gallons per day. The project also included multiple pump stations and approximately 15 miles of wastewater and reclaimed water pipelines that connect the facility to the County’s utility system.
Over the next 20 years, the project is expected to prevent more than one million pounds of nutrient pollutants, including nitrogen and phosphorus, from entering the Matanzas River.
Jacobs delivered the facility through a progressive design-build contract.
The project supports the St. Johns County Strategic Plan by investing in resilient infrastructure, protecting natural resources and enhancing quality of life for current and future residents.
Facility Tours: Tours will be offered following the ceremony. Please wear closed-toe shoes.
