Halloween festivities brought St. Johns County Utilities together with students, families, and community partners at Osceola Elementary School’s Trunk-or-Treat event on October 16, 2026, where a decorated utility truck and creative water-saving messages added to the celebration.

Utilities staff transformed a utility truck into a festive Halloween display and handed out candy featuring fun water conservation messages. Beyond the treats and decorations, the event offered an opportunity for staff to connect with residents outside their everyday operations and engage with the families they serve.

From providing safe drinking water to managing wastewater and reclaimed water services, St. Johns County Utilities plays an essential role in supporting the community. Participating in local events provides an opportunity to build relationships, increase awareness of County services, and demonstrate the commitment to serving residents beyond daily operations.

“Our work goes beyond providing essential utility services. Opportunities like this allow us to connect with residents, build relationships, and reinforce the importance of working together to strengthen our community,” said Larry Miller, Assistant Director of St. Johns County Utilities.

The outreach also supports the St. Johns County Strategic Plan’s emphasis on strengthening community trust through proactive communication and meaningful public engagement.

St. Johns County Utilities thanks the Osceola Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) for the invitation and the opportunity to be part of this community celebration.
