Chair Murphy and Vice-Chair Taylor represented St. Johns County in Washington, DC.

St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners, Clay Murphy, District 3, Chair, and Ann Taylor, Vice-Chair Commissioner, District 5, participated in the 2026 NACo’s Legislative Conference. During the conference, they met with United States Representatives Randy Fine, Florida, District 6, and John H. Rutherford, Florida, District 5.

Held each year in Washington, D.C., NACo’s Legislative Conference is an unparalleled opportunity to strengthen intergovernmental partnerships and advance county federal policy priorities. Nearly 2,000 elected and appointed county officials connect with federal agencies and members of Congress and participate in policy summits and workshops relevant to the federal-state-local-tribal partnership.
