Tourist Development Council

St. Johns County Administration Building Auditorium

The Tourist Development Council is required by the authorizing legislation to meet at least four times per year, but has chosen to meet more frequently. The meetings are typically held on the third Monday of the month in the County Auditorium at 500 San Sebastian View at 1:30 p.m.

St. Johns County Attorney Candidate Review Meeting

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that there will be a meeting on January 23, 2025, to review candidates for the position of County Attorney for St. Johns County.  The meeting will be held from 3:00pm to 5:00pm and will take place in the San Sebastian Conference Room.

The San Sebastian Conference Room is located in the St. Johns County Administration Building, 500 San Sebastian View, St. Augustine, 32084.

It is anticipated that one or more St. Johns County Commissioners may attend and participate at this event.

Housing Finance Authority

The HFA meets the 4th Thursday of each month at 3pm in the Health & Human Services Building, except for November and December when the Authority meets on the 3rd Thursday of those months due to the holidays.

This meeting is open to the public, however, there is no public comment portion and is informational in purpose.

Board of County Commissioners Meeting

January 21 | 9am

St. Johns County Auditorium

The St. Johns County Board of County Commission Meetings are held the first and third Tuesdays each month commencing at 9:00 a.m. in the St. Johns County Auditorium located at 500 San Sebastian View, St. Augustine, FL. The Board reserves the right to cancel and or change the meeting schedule as needed. Most Public Hearings for the County Commission will be advertised for 9:00 a.m. It will be left to the discretion of the BCC Chair as to the most appropriate time to break for recess. *Per Board Rule 4.102: The Board shall not hold a regular meeting on the first Tuesday of January or the first Tuesday of July. Industrial Development Authority

San Sebastian Conference Room – St. Johns County Administration Building

The primary purpose of the IDA is to issue tax-exempt bond financing for manufacturing facilities within the county. The IDA can also issue bonds for certain exempt facilities such as water & sewer projects, solid waste and hazardous waste facilities as well as bonds for tax-exempt 501 (C)(3) non-profit organizations.

St. Johns County Legislative Delegation

January 10 | 9am- 12pm

St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners Auditorium

St. Johns County will host its annual State Legislative Delegation public hearing on Friday, Jan. 10, from 9 a.m. to noon in the St. Johns County Auditorium, located at 500 San Sebastian View, St. Augustine. The Auditorium doors will open at 8:30 AM.

The State Legislative Delegation includes Senator Tom Leek, Representative Kim Kendall, Representative Sam Greco, and Representative Judson Sapp. This annual hearing provides an opportunity for local residents and officials to request legislation or state funding and to share their opinions on matters of state concern ahead of the 2025 Regular Legislative Session. The meeting is open to the public.

Residents who wish to be placed on the printed agenda must complete a speaker card form and email it to Tatum.Wang@flhouse.gov by noon on Sunday, Jan. 5. Any handouts, visual aids, or PowerPoint slides intended for inclusion in the Delegation packet must also be submitted in advance to Tatum.Wang@flhouse.gov.

Individuals who wish to address the Delegation but are not on the printed agenda may submit a request to Tatum Wang by 10 a.m. on the day of the hearing. If there are no additional speakers, the Delegation members may adjourn the meeting before the scheduled end time of noon.
