Chair Murphy Provides Insights at Legislative Event

The Chamber of Commerce hosted a legislative update breakfast.

On July 10, 2026, St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners Chair Clay Murphy was one of the featured speakers at the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce Legislative Breakfast held at The Renaissance World Golf Village Resort. With the end of the legislative session in Tallahassee, the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce wanted to ensure its members are in the know about the decisions made and how they affect their businesses. At the annual Legislative Update Breakfast, members of the legislative delegation and local elected officials shared decisions that will directly impact St. Johns County and its Strategic Plan. Topics will include both state and local legislation and updates.

The Governor approved the FY 2026-27 State Budget, effective July 1, 2026. The budget includes approximately $15.23 million in appropriations benefiting all of St. Johns County, community partners, and local nonprofit organizations.
