Commissioner Murphy and Commissioner Joseph Recognized by the Northeast Florida Regional Council

A Resolution was presented for their service on the Board of Directors
At the March 3, 2026, St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners Regular Meeting, Elizabeth Payne and Andy Dance with the Northeast Florida Regional Council (NEFRC) recognized Commissioners Clay Murphy and Krista Joseph for their service on the NEFRC Board of Directors.
Murphy and Joseph were appointed to the Board in January 2025. These positions are appointed by the Chair of the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners and serve at the Chair’s pleasure.
During their tenure, Commissioner Murphy also served on the Personnel, Budget, and Finance Committee. Commissioner Joseph served as a member of the Executive Committee.
In his leadership role as Chair of the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners, Commissioner Murphy has now appointed Commissioners Taylor and Whitehurst to serve as St. Johns County’s representatives on the NEFRC Board, alongside Virginia Morgan, City of St. Augustine Beach Commissioner and Vice Mayor.
The NEFRC serves Baker, Clay, Duval, Flagler, Nassau, Putnam and St. Johns counties, as well as 25 municipalities, and provides a forum for elected officials to collaborate on issues affecting the region.
