St. Johns County Administrator Presents Comprehensive Plan Update to St. Johns County Civic Roundtable

St. Johns County Administrator Joy Andrews was the featured speaker at the Nov. 6 St. County Civic Roundtable monthly meeting to share the processes for the County’s Strategic Plan, the Comprehensive Plan update, and other public engagement efforts.

“The Strategic Plan will be a guiding document for our operations and levels of service,” Andrews said. “It will help us with developing a performance matrix and budget planning. The Comprehensive Plan will help us with a 25-year plan for the future of St. Johns County.”

The Comprehensive Plan was presented to the Board of County Commissioners on March 21, 2023. The presentation was on the process and content requirements of the upcoming Evaluation and Appraisal Review (EAR) for the County’s Comprehensive Plan pursuant to Section 163.3191, F.S. General discussion of the County’s current Plan; development of a preliminary list of key planning issues to be addressed; and process to be utilized to obtain citizen input.

“We were pleased to hear about the plans the County has to engage the public on the Comprehensive Plan updates and the new strategic plan,” St. Johns County Civic Roundtable Chair Lisa McGlynn said. “Their efforts align with the purpose of the St. Johns County Civic Roundtable, which is to preserve and improve the quality of life in St. Johns County. We are a network of committed citizens and civic, neighborhood, community, and homeowner associations that come together for the good of our County.”
