St. Johns County Opens County Administrator Position for Applications

The Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) contracted with GovHR USA, a local government recruitment and management consultant, to ensure a thorough, strategic national search is completed and a highly qualified pool of candidates is produced in a timely manner for the vacant County Administrator position. The County Administrator job posting, which includes the position description and qualifications, has been publicly posted today. The St. Johns County Administrator Selection Committee (ASC) is comprised of the following individuals:

  • Henry Dean, St Johns County District 5 Commissioner
  • Brandon Patty, St John County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller
  • Lilian Hutchinson, St Johns County Director of Human Resources
  • Jerry Wilson, Community/Business Representative

The ASC will hold a public meeting in the St. Johns County Auditorium, 500 San Sebastian View, on Oct. 6, 2023, at 9 a.m. to review eligible candidates identified by GovHR USA and select candidates for a first interview.

The ASC will hold additional public meetings in early October to conduct the interviews of eligible candidates and recommend finalists for interviews with the Board during special sessions that will be held in late October. These meetings will be announced and publicized once finalized. All ASC meetings will be streamed live at http://www.sjcfl.us/GTV. Recordings of the meetings will be available to watch online at www.sjcfl.us/GTV once the rendering process is completed.
