County Administrator Joy Andrews Volunteers for Local Food Pantry

The Simon’s House Food Pantry offers free distribution at various locations.

On March 17, 2026, St. Johns County Administrator Joy Andrews volunteered to distribute food at the Harris Community Center as a part of the Simon’s House Food Pantry program. This participation in community non-profit events is a part of the efforts to support the County’s Strategic Plan, which includes six priorities. One of those priorities is Community Well-Being.

The Simon’s House Food Pantry offers free distribution, currently serving over 350 families per week and over 400 veterans per month. The community-based program, partnering with local churches and outreach centers, helps those with food insecurity who may not have enough to eat. They also provided household products and supplies, along with resources such as Health Screenings, Nutrition Education, and Prayer Requests. The food pantry locations are:

  • Harris Community Center, 400 E. Harris Street, Hastings, on Tuesdays from 2 to 4 p.m.
  • 4835 Randolph Street, Flagler Estates, Thursdays from 4 to 5 p.m.
  • James A. Webster Elementary School, 420 North Orange St, St. Augustine on Wednesdays from 9 to 10 a.m. and 4 to 6 p.m.
  • Destiny Church, 1485 US 1, St. Augustine, on Sundays from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
