Who We Are

The Human Resources Department supports, educates, and advises management by gathering facts, diagnosing problems, providing solutions, and offering objective assistance and guidance on employee-related issues. We recruit qualified applicants for vacant staff positions. To retain qualified employees, we strive to maintain competitive compensation and benefit programs.

Human Resources also assists in the development, implementation, and coordination of employment-related policies and programs, employee and labor relations, compensation administration, benefits management, and training and education programs.

Do you hire Veterans?

Will this application be used by all agencies in the County?

Your application/resume will only apply to positions advertised by the Board of County Commissioners. Elected officials such as the Sheriff, Property Appraiser, Tax Collector, Supervisor of Elections, and the Clerk of the Courts have their own application process; you’ll need to contact each office individually to apply for open positions in their organizations.

Records Requests

The Human Resources Department is the official custodian of employee records. All records, except confidential records, are open for inspection in accordance with Florida Public Records law. Copies may be obtained, but all requests must be made in advance. Public records requests may be made by completing the Public Records Request Form or contacting us directly at (904) 209-0635.
