Fireworks Over the Matanzas

Celebrate Independence Day in the Nation’s Oldest City as Fireworks Over the Matanzas returns on Saturday, July 4. Hosted by the City of St. Augustine, the annual celebration features live music, a fireworks show over Matanzas Bay, free shuttle service, and family-friendly festivities throughout downtown.

Live Music in the Plaza

The celebration begins at 6:00 p.m. in the Plaza de la Constitución, where The All-Star Orchestra will perform a free two-hour concert featuring patriotic favorites and popular music.

Fireworks Begin at 9:00 p.m.

The fireworks display will begin at 9:00 p.m. The 20-minute show will light up the sky above Matanzas Bay and will be synchronized with a soundtrack of patriotic and popular music broadcast along the bayfront.

With an extensive sound system stretching along Avenida Menendez, the area between the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument and the Bridge of Lions will become a theater of sight and sound as St. Augustine joins the nationwide America250 celebration.
