Lab tests show water is safe for consumption

Hastings, FL, March 21, 2026 – A Retraction Notice has been issued to lift the original Precautionary Boil Water Notice for the following address:

All of Pompey Miller Street
601 N. Washington Street
214, 218, and 220 West Holtz Street

The St. Johns County Utility Department has completed lab tests showing the water is safe for consumption. The boil water notice had been in effect since March 19th following a contractor hitting a line.

Door tags were used to notify the facilities affected by this Boil Water Notice Retraction. Citizens may call the Department’s Boil Water Notice Hotline at (904) 209-2731 for additional information or visit the Department’s website at www.sjcutility.us.
