Inaugural Young Professionals Program Signals Bright Future for St. Johns County Workforce

More than 60 attend the event for networking, leadership development, and talent retention opportunities

More than 60 emerging leaders gathered in Nocatee for the inaugural St. Johns County Young Professionals Program, marking a strong start for an initiative designed to connect, develop, and retain the next generation of local talent. The Office of Public Affairs captured the event on video.

The event brought together young professionals from across the county for an evening of networking, collaboration, and community-building. Attendees engaged in meaningful conversations, formed new professional connections, and shared a common interest in becoming more involved in St. Johns County. The program supports the County’s Strategic Plan priority of Economic Prosperity (PDF).

The strong turnout underscored a growing demand for opportunities that support young professionals in building bridges of opportunity, advancing their careers, and establishing long-term roots in the community.

Organizers emphasized that the program extends beyond traditional networking by focusing on talent attraction and retention, leadership development, and creating pathways for young professionals to thrive both personally and professionally in St. Johns County.

Building on the momentum of the inaugural event, the next program, “Emerging Leaders Toolkit,” will feature a panel of local professionals offering practical insights, career resources, and strategies for long-term success.

The event is scheduled for 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at the St. Augustine Airport, located at 4730 Casa Cola Way, Suite 200, St. Augustine. Registration is $10.
