St. Johns County Public Library System cardholders receive free admission from April 19-22
The St. Johns County Public Library System (SJCPLS) celebrates National Library Week, April 19-25, by teaming up with the Lightner Museum to offer library card holders free admission from April 19-22.
National Library Week is an annual celebration that highlights the essential role libraries play in providing free access to knowledge, lifelong learning, and community. The library system offers resources, programs, and partnerships that empower residents of all ages to connect, learn, and enjoy.
“Libraries are places that provide joy, discovery, and opportunity to everyone who walks through our doors,” said Debra Rhodes Gibson, Director of the SJCPLS. “National Library Week allows us to extend the celebration of the library through community connection.”
Library cardholders who visit the Lightner Museum will experience art, architecture, history, and design in the former Hotel Alcazar, a Gilded Age resort.
“Public libraries provide such integral resources for communities, and St. Johns County is incredibly lucky to have such a thriving public library system,” said Angela de Gregory, Director of Marketing and Events at the Lightner Museum. “The Lightner Museum is delighted to support St. Johns County Public Library System during National Library Week.”
Library cards are free to all St. Johns County residents. Residents without a card are encouraged to sign up in advance to take advantage of this limited-time offer and explore all the library’s resources.
