North Beach Park Parking Lot and Beach Walkover Available for Fourth of July Weekend

Parking and walkover will close after July 6 for the remainder of construction

The parking lot and beach walkover at North Beach Park (3721 Coastal Highway, Vilano Beach) will be available for the Fourth of July weekend, offering locals and visitors another place to access our beaches during the busy holiday.

As part of St. Johns County’s investment in coastal recreation, North Beach Park is being enhanced with improved parking, a new playground, restrooms, and upgraded amenities, all due to be completed later in 2025.

The parking lot will open at 7 a.m. on Friday, July 4, and close at 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 6. After the closure on July 6, the park will remain closed until the construction project is completed.

Since North Beach Park is still an active construction site, visitors must follow all posted signage, stay out of restricted areas for safety reasons, and be cautious when walking or driving through the park.

Parking spots will be available on a first‑come, first‑served basis. While other park amenities will be off-limits due to construction, portable toilets and trash cans will be available.
