Equestrian Center
The St. Johns County Equestrian Center is a 20-acre facility that offers several well-maintained riding arenas, including an outdoor arena perfect for various riding disciplines such as dressage, jumping, and trail riding. The venue is equipped to host events of all sizes, including horse shows, clinics, and competitions. Additionally, it features a community center for meetings, educational programs, and equestrian-related events.

This facility is managed by the St. Johns County Horse Council under an agreement with St. Johns County.

How to Apply for an Event Permit

Plan
Reservations must be made no less than 2 weeks in advance and will be approved by staff.
One Day Rentals Only. Rentable on either a Saturday or Sunday. One rental per weekend.
Must be 75 people or less.
Alcohol is only allowed on County property with written approval from the Parks and Recreation Director and St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office. If applicable, you will receive an Alcohol Permit Application (Ordinance 99-50) and will be expected to provide liquor liability insurance of $1,000,000 per occurrence, naming St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners as additional insured by endorsement. Applications will not be approved without valid insurance documentation.

Event permits can be applied for through our Online Reservation System.
You will be required to create an account before applying for your first permit.
If the event organizer is an organization/company, please create an account for the Organization.

Pay Reservation Fee
Based on the submitted application, a reservation fee of $100 (before tax) will be charged to your account and payment will be required a minimum of 7 days prior to the event date in order to receive your permit. Please note, fees are nonrefundable, and you will be unable to pay the reservation fee until your application has been approved by staff. Once your application has been approved, you will receive an approved permit. Please ensure you have a copy of the permit with you at the time of your event.
All Fees (before tax):
- Reservation fee & Cleaning Fee – $100
- Resident – $60 1st hour (each additional hour $25)
- Non-Resident – $80 1st hour (each additional hour $30)
There are approx. 10 tables and 40 chairs available. They are stored in the onsite closet.
