Recreation Advisory Board

The board was established by the Board of County Commissioners on January 9, 1990, Section 7-2.0303 of the meeting minutes. It is comprised of seven members, each serving four-year terms, and seeks district representation.

The Recreation Advisory Board provides a sounding board for new ideas, assists in solving problems, acts as liaison when called upon by other governmental bodies, represents the Parks and Recreation Department’s posture on sensitive issues in the public arena, assists in the establishment and completion of goals, objectives, and budgets to provide leisure time programs and facilities for communities in St. Johns County.

The Recreation Advisory Board (RAB) hold monthly meetings on the second Wednesday of every month at 1:30 p.m. The meetings take place in the Muscovy Conference Room located in the County Health and Human Services Building at 200 San Sebastian View, St. Augustine, FL.
