A groundbreaking ceremony celebrated the start of the Phase 1 Expansion Project.
On May 30, 2025, St. Johns County Commissioners Clay Murphy, District 3, and Ann Taylor, District 5, represented the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners at the Homeless Coalition of St. Johns County groundbreaking ceremony for the Phase 1 Expansion Project.
The proposed main campus improvements include an expanded food pantry, office building, children’s education center, and housing.
The program featured presentations by Homeless Coalition of St. Johns County Board President Jeanne Moeller and Executive Director Debi Redding, and remarks by City of St. Augustine Commissioner Cynthia Garris, Commissioner Taylor and others.
The Homeless Coalition of St. Johns County provides supportive services that benefit the surrounding West Augustine community and residents throughout St. Johns County. They provide innovative programs to assist the most chronically homeless families with children in Florida’s St. Johns County to get off the street and on the road to self-sufficiency.
