Excitement Builds for St. Johns County Legislative Day

The County is bringing together local businesses, organizations, and leaders to showcase all St. Johns County has to offer on Feb. 5, 2026, at the State Capitol
Planning is well underway for St. Johns County to showcase its people, culture, and priorities at the Florida Capitol during SJC Legislative Day on Feb. 5, 2026.
Dozens of local businesses, organizations, government entities, and leaders invested in the community’s success have committed their support and participation in this one-day advocacy event. As a united delegation, partners will showcase St. Johns County during the annual legislative session.
“St. Johns County is thrilled to host Legislative Day in Tallahassee this upcoming February,” said Sarah Arnold, District 2 Commissioner for St. Johns County. “Thanks to an overwhelming outpouring of community support, it is going to be a can’t-miss event highlighting the very best of the City of St. Augustine, the City of St. Augustine Beach, and all of St. Johns County.”
St. Johns County Day will be an interactive experience featuring the history, culture, authentic food, and unique entertainment found only in St. Johns County. The County will advocate for policies and funding that strengthen the local economy, improve infrastructure, and enhance the quality of life in its growing community.
Smokin’ Spencer’s Q and Verdell’s Cooking & Catering will be onsite offering specialty dishes while The Spice & Tea Exchange, St. Augustine Distillery, San Sebastian Winery, Fountain of Youth, and Dog Rose Brewing Co. will be serving signature drinks. Live music, courtesy of The Amp, will fill the air and performances by Venardo’s Circus will top off the entertainment. The entire event will be powered by Solar Stik.
Legislators will have the opportunity to visit with The Alligator Farm’s reptiles, meet the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office robo-dog, explore the SJC Fire Rescue Marine Unit’s personal watercraft, recycle flags through the SJC American Flag Rescue program, and even take home locally grown produce and farm products. Attendees will also be able to practice their golfing skills and learn about the expansive history of golf courtesy of The Slammer and the Squire and the PGA TOUR.
Of course, this event would not be possible without the support of local businesses and organizations who are vested in the future of St. Johns County. For a complete list of event partners, please visit the St. Johns County Day website.
The St. Johns County Office of Intergovernmental Affairs is leading the planning of St. Johns County Day, along with presenting partners St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce, the City of St. Augustine, and the City of St. Augustine Beach.
