St. Johns County Reminds the Public of the Millage Rates Set by Different Taxing Authorities in the Community
The County will have its first public hearing on its millage rates on September 3, 2025.
St. Johns County has offered the community a list of different taxing authorities and their scheduled public hearings in an effort to educate taxpayers about the taxes levied by the County in the overall Truth In Millage Notice (TRIM) that property owners receive from the St. Johns County Property Appraiser.
“It is important for the public to know which taxing authorities are on their TRIM notice,” said Krista Joseph, Chair of the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners. “The County’s assessed millage rates are just a portion of the millage rates levied by other taxing authorities for the services and programs they provide, like the St. Johns County School District, Anastasia Mosquito Control District, and local municipalities.”
On Wednesday, Sept. 3, at 5:01 p.m. in the County Auditorium, 500 San Sebastian View, the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners will hold the first public hearing for the adoption of the St. Johns County Board of County Commission Fiscal Year 2026 Budget.
