Project Information

The proposed project focuses on improving traffic flow and enhancing safety at the CR 210 and CR 2209 intersection. Planned improvements include modifications to intersection design intended to reduce delays, improve traffic operations, and provide accommodations for pedestrians and bicyclists.
The project will also include changes to how drivers enter and exit nearby businesses and side streets. These updates are designed to improve traffic flow and reduce points where vehicles may cross paths.
Community input is an important part of the planning process. Attendees will have the opportunity to review project information, ask questions, and provide feedback that will be considered as the project moves forward.
Residents may also review project information and submit comments online.
Comments received during the meetings, online, or through other communication methods will be given equal consideration. Feedback received by April 20, 2026, will be included in the official meeting record.
This outreach effort supports the St. Johns County Strategic Plan by promoting transparent communication, responsible infrastructure planning, and community engagement in projects that impact daily travel and quality of life.

About the Project
The CR 210 at CR 2209 intersection is experiencing significant congestion due to the rapid residential and commercial growth in the area. The proposed improvements will redesign the CR 210 at CR 2209 (St. Johns Parkway) intersection to:
- Improve the traffic flow by reducing the average
delay at the intersection - Enhance safety for all users by providing designated crossing for pedestrians and bicyclists and reducing number of conflict points for motorized vehicles.
- However, the proposed improvements will change how motorists navigate the intersection and access adjacent businesses.
What is Access Management?
Access management is the careful planning of the location, design and type of access to properties, businesses, and homes. This also includes median openings and driveway entrances.
The goal of access management is to promote safe and efficient movement of people and goods by reducing potential conflicts on the roadway.
