St. Johns County Ocean Pier & Park

OVERVIEW

The St. Johns County Ocean Pier & Park is a central destination for outdoor recreation and beach activities, making it a beloved spot in St. Augustine Beach.

The park features a 1,300-foot pier that extends into the Atlantic Ocean, making it a prime location for fishing, sightseeing, and enjoying beautiful ocean views. The park also includes a splash pad, picnic areas, volleyball courts, and a gift shop.

Originally built in 1939, the pier has undergone several renovations, including a major reconstruction following damage from Hurricane Matthew in 2016. The renovated pier reopened in 2023, offering both locals and tourists a great spot for fishing and enjoying the beach.

Please Note: Swimming and surfing are not permitted within 400 feet of the pier.
