The Florida Museum of Black History Task Force selected St. Johns County as the location for the State’s Black History Museum.
St. Johns County will host a ceremony and $1 million state appropriation check presentation for the Florida Museum of Black History project to be built in St. Augustine.
When: Thursday, Sept. 18, 9 a.m.
Where: Collier-Blocker-Puryear Park Complex, 10 N. Holmes Boulevard, St. Augustine
What: A ceremony to celebrate the $1 million state allocation for Phase I planning and design of the Florida Museum of Black History to be administered through the Florida Department of State.

- Commissioner Sarah Arnold, District 2, St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners
- Rep. Kiyan Michael, District 16, Florida House of Representatives
