St. Johns County Parks and Recreation Hosting Mermaids-and-Pirates-Themed Popsicles in the Park

On Saturday, July 12, 2025 the St. Johns County Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a Popsicles in the Park event themed around mermaids and pirates as part of its annual Parks and Recreation Month celebration.

Attendees are encouraged to wear their best mermaid and/or pirate outfits to Vilano Beachfront Park (2752 Anahma Drive, St. Augustine) from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. In addition to at least one actual mermaid and pirate, there will be stations for crafts and face painting, a themed photo area, music, and delicious popsicles.

Three more Popsicles in the Park events will take place at other parks throughout St. Johns County every week of the month. As with all Parks and Recreation Month events, participants will have the chance to enter their names to win a prize basket after July.
