St. Johns County Public Library System’s Inaugural Career Fair is a Success

The event connected more than 170 job seekers with potential opportunities.

More than 170 job seekers attended the inaugural Career Fair hosted by the St. Johns County Public Library System (SJCPLS) on May 31 at the Solomon Calhoun Center. The job seekers connected with 23 employers representing a broad range of industries.

The free event brought together job seekers, employers, and community partners for a dynamic day of networking and professional development. Participants learned about company cultures, explored hiring opportunities, and engaged directly with recruiters from both local and national organizations.

“The Career Fair was a powerful reminder of the library’s commitment to empowering individuals and strengthening our community,” said Debra Rhodes Gibson, Library Director. “We were thrilled by the turnout and the energy in the room. All day, we saw people making valuable connections and taking important steps toward their futures.”

This event reflects SJCPLS’s mission to support lifelong learning and community growth by linking local talent with job opportunities. To learn more about the St. Johns County Public Library System’s resources, programs, or upcoming events, visit www.sjcpls.org.
