Changes to Urgent Care Billing & Choosing the Right Facility
UF Health St. Johns Urgent Care Update
UF Health St. Johns Urgent Care (formerly Flagler Hospital Urgent Care) is currently billing as a specialist instead of an urgent care center.
What this means for you right now:
- You will not pay the normal $35 urgent care copay.
- Instead, your visit will be applied to your deductible and coinsurance. This usually costs much more.
- This affects these two locations:
- 110 Health Blvd., St. Augustine
- 70 Turin Ter, Suite 110, St. Augustine (MuraBella)
UF Health has asked the state to recognize these locations as urgent care centers, but the approval is still pending.

Not all walk-in clinics cost the same. Choosing the wrong one can lead to much higher bills.

Tip: If it’s not life-threatening, start with Urgent Care. It’s almost always much cheaper.

Wellness Incentive Program – Onsite Health Screenings begin 5/7
St. Johns County BCC is pleased to offer free onsite biometric screenings for employees and their eligible spouses who are covered under our health insurance plan. These screenings, provided in partnership with Florida Blue, are an easy way to take charge of your health while also qualifying for valuable savings on your health insurance premiums.
Under the Wellness Premium Incentive (WPI) Program, employees and their spouses enrolled in the St. Johns County Medical Plan can each earn a $600 premium credit toward 2027 health insurance premiums simply by completing a biometric health screening between October 1, 2025 and September 30, 2026. One-on-One Health Coaching Available- 7/14
Health Coach Jeannie Perez will be available for one-on-one health coaching sessions at the Administration Building (St. Johns Conference Room) on July 14, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
These confidential sessions are a great opportunity to get personalized support with wellness goals such as nutrition, stress management, and building healthy habits.
Lincoln Financial Retirement Consultant 6/23
Retirement Consultant Harold Alvarado will be available for one-one sessions at the Administration Building (St. Johns Conference Room) on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will be available to assist with retirement questions and planning needs.
Urgent Care Facility Options Update
Due to a recent rebrand of Flagler Hospital Urgent Care Facilities, their facilities may no longer be considered in-network under our current health plan.
At this time, we ask all employees to consider other in-network facilities for any urgent care needs to ensure you receive the full benefits available under our insurance coverage.
Below is a list of approved, in-network urgent care facilities. This list includes locations, contact information, and any relevant details to help you access care smoothly.

2026 Healthy Living Reimbursement Program
Session 1 (January 1 – June 30) is open for benefits-eligible employees! This program provides reimbursement of up to $100.00, two times per year ($200 annually and subject to tax assessment) for approved activities to continue supporting our employees to lead healthy and happy lives at and outside of work.
