Flagler College Student Highlights St. Johns County Pet Center in Class Project

Video project captures daily operations, heartfelt adoptions, and staff dedication at local animal shelter
Brinnie Stevens, a student at Flagler College, recently produced a video for a course assignment, choosing the St. Johns County Pet Center as her focus. The video project titled Love, Rescued shines a light on the facility’s mission and operations while capturing the compassion and care behind the shelter’s day-to-day work. The project includes interviews, footage from inside the shelter, and a narrative that showcases the team’s efforts to care for and rehome animals throughout the county.
Stevens visited the facility and spoke with Paul Studivant, the center’s deputy director, to gain insight into its operations. The video features behind-the-scenes looks at animal care routines and the emotional moments of pet adoptions. Staff said the video reflects the heart and commitment of everyone involved in the center’s operations.
“We’re incredibly grateful for the time and effort Brinnie put into telling our story,” the Pet Center said in their July 2025 Newsletter. “Her creativity and kindness are evident in every frame.”
