Westbound County Road 210 is currently closed at the Cartwheel Bay Avenue intersection following a vehicle crash that damaged critical power and traffic signal infrastructure.

A vehicle struck and broke a utility power pole and also damaged the traffic signal equipment controller enclosure at the intersection. As a result, the traffic signal at CR 210 and Cartwheel Bay Avenue is not operational.

JEA crews are on scene and working to clear the damaged pole and power lines. Once the area is deemed safe, St. Johns County staff and contractors will begin repairs to restore the traffic signal equipment.

Motorists are urged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes. Motorist who must travel near the area should exercise extreme caution and expect delays.

There is currently no confirmed timeline for full restoration of the traffic signal or reopening of westbound CR 210.
