Master Gardener Fall Plant Sale – September 19–20

Sale will feature landscape plants, houseplants, vegetable seedlings, workshops, and Demonstration Garden tours

The UF/IFAS St. Johns County Extension Office will host the St. Johns County Master Gardener Fall Plant Sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 19–20, at the St. Johns County Agricultural Center, 3125 Agricultural Center Drive in St. Augustine. Proceeds directly support educational outreach and community programming through the St. Johns County Master Gardeners Program.

The annual plant sale will offer a variety of landscape plants, houseplants, and vegetable seedlings for gardeners of all experience levels. Visitors can also tour the Demonstration Gardens on the property and learn more about gardening practices suited to Northeast Florida. The event promotes using native and Florida-friendly plants in the local environment, supporting sustainable landscaping practices and, in effect, the St. Johns County Strategic Plan priority to Enhance Conservation.

The Fall Plant Sale will also feature a series of free educational classes and workshops:

Saturday, September 19

• 10 a.m. — Build Your Own Terrarium Workshop: Participants can create their own terrarium for $5 per terrarium.
• Noon — Tips & Tricks on Planting Your New Plant: Master Gardener Volunteer Barbara will share tips for successfully planting and establishing new plants.

Sunday, Sept. 20

• 10 a.m. — Hydroponics 101: Agriculture Agent Dr. Jeet Ramjattan will introduce participants to the basics of hydroponic gardening.
• 11 a.m. — Tips & Tricks on Planting Your New Plant: Master Gardener Volunteer Barbara will share additional tips for planting and caring for new plants.

The St. Johns County Master Gardener program is part of UF/IFAS Extension and provides research-based horticultural education and resources to residents.

The plant sale will take place rain or shine both days.
