Abraham Nelson Honored for 25 Years of Service
On October 2, 2024, during the regular St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners meeting, Abraham ‘Abe’ Nelson, was recognized for his remarkable 25 years of service with the St. Johns County Public Works Department.
Abe began his career with the department in 1999 as an entry-level member of the Road and Bridge construction team. His hard work and leadership skills quickly earned him a promotion to Crew Chief. Today, Abe serves as a Traffic Sign Field Technician, inspecting roadway signs and striping on all County-maintained roads.
Known for his friendly demeanor, strong work ethic, and commitment to serving the residents of St. Johns County, Abe will be greatly missed by his colleagues and the community. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Abe as he embarks on his well-deserved retirement, wishing him health and happiness in the years ahead.
