Independence Day Holiday Office Hours

In observance of the 2026 Independence Day holiday, several St. Johns County offices and services will operate on modified schedules.
- St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners departments, County administrative offices, and the Property Appraiser’s Office will be closed Thursday, July 2, through Monday, July 6. Regular business hours will resume Tuesday, July 7.
- All St. Johns County library branches and bookmobile will be closed Thursday, July 2, through Sunday, July 5, and will reopen Monday, July 6.
- The Supervisor of Elections Office and the Clerk of Courts and County Comptroller’s Office will remain open Thursday, July 2, will be closed Friday, July 3, and will reopen Monday, July 6.
- The Tax Collector’s Office will remain open Thursday, July 2, and will be closed Friday, July 3, and Monday, July 6.
- Garbage and recycling collection schedules will not be delayed. The Tillman Ridge and Stratton Road transfer stations will maintain standard business hours. Additionally, residents can download the Recycle Coach app or visit www.recyclestjohns.com to obtain curbside collection schedules, sign up for alerts, and quickly learn how to properly dispose of different household waste materials.
