April 23, 2024 – St. Johns County Celebrates 250th Anniversary of William Bartram’s Historic Visit to Florida with 2024 Bartram Living History Fest
On Saturday, May 11, the St. Johns County Parks and Recreation Department, in coordination with the St. Johns Cultural Council, will hold the 2024 Bartram Living History Fest at Alpine Groves Park, this year commemorating the 250th anniversary of naturalist William Bartram’s historic visit to Florida.

April 2, 2024 – St. Johns County Announces $123 Million Regional Park Plan to Begin in 2024

On April 2, 2024, the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) unanimously authorized the County Administrator to move forward with an estimated $123 million plan to construct five regional parks and community centers.
