Commissioner Arnold presented a proclamation on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners
At the April 21, 2026, St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners Regular Meeting, Commissioner Sarah Arnold presented a proclamation on behalf of the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners, recognizing the 2-year anniversary of “We Brought the Smoke!”
The proclamation honored residents who, despite their bus catching on fire, continued to Tallahassee in advocacy of St. Johns County being the future home of the proposed Florida Black History Museum.
Greg White and fellow passengers accepted the proclamation on behalf of the group, whose efforts helped to secure St. Johns County’s priority status as the location for the museum.
