Beach Shuttle Service

St Johns County Utility Department (SJCUD) requires each homeowner/tenant in Beacon Lake Phases 1-3 (excluding the townhomes) to sign and return the Right of Entry form (PDF). SJCUD’s contractor needs to enter private property for a short time to perform the necessary plumbing work for converting your irrigation to reclaimed water.

The Family Integrity Program is proud to be the only provider of Foster Care services for St. Johns County. We are the only agency in the county that recruits, licenses, services, and maintains Family Foster Homes for our county’s children.

Boil Water Notices (BWN) are public advisories issued when the integrity of a water main is compromised and the possibility of pathogenic bacteria entering the potable water supply occurs.

The Building Department Monthly Report is designed to give bottom-line information on the number of building permits, single family homes, inspections and more. All files are in Adobe Acrobat .pdf format.

State licensed Inspectors provide prompt inspections of permitted construction activity in St. Johns County. This service ensures that the standards adopted by our community will be maintained, improving building safety, and quality of life for all residents.

The Building Operations Division is responsible for property management and operations of approximately 2 million square feet of County facilities, including the Hastings School building and the Health & Human Services building. Building Operations manages:

Economic Development is a top priority of the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners. The Board shares a unified commitment to attract new business development, to expand and diversify the tax base, and to create jobs for local residents. Success in economic development ensures St. Johns County’s long-term financial ability to provide ongoing quality services and infrastructure and preserve the quality of life for its residential and corporate citizens. Insofar as these objectives are generally served by the enhancement and expansion of the local economy, St. Johns County will give consideration to providing economic development grants as a stimulus for new business development within the County.

A Case Plan is completed for every child that enters through the protective services or out of home placement doors. Case Plans define the tasks that need to be completed by the parents, caregivers, and child, if applicable; in order to accomplish the best outcome for your child.

The objective of this Code is to bring correction or remedy of any building feature or condition that threatens safety, health, sanitation, and the general welfare of the habitants. In general, the Code concerns structural strength, stability, sanitation, adequate light and ventilation, and safety of life and property from hazards. It applies to the construction, alteration, repair, removal, demolition, use, or occupancy of residential buildings and their accessory structures.

Insurance must be in the name of the company the license holder will be qualifying and must have the name listed on the certificate. The license holder must be included in the policy or provide worker’s compensation construction exemption.

Your license will limit you to work as a Sub-Contractor. To legally contract directly with the general public you are required to take the business and law examination with ProV and obtain a 70% or higher.

Commissioner Roy Alaimo was appointed by Governor Ron Desantis in 2022 to serve on the St. Johns County Board of Commissioners.

The clearance sheet is a document which contains a variety of information on a parcel of land which is needed throughout the permitting process. This includes the 911 address, flood information, zoning setbacks, minimum floor elevations, traffic analysis, comp plan information, etc.

This project aims to develop a Comprehensive Beach Management Plan for the Atlantic coastline along St. Johns County. The study and plan are intended to document beach management activities county-wide, identify and prioritize the needs and objectives for coastal protection, and provide guidance for future management, project implementation and pre/post storm disaster recovery actions.

St. Johns County is home to a variety of wildlife including several species of endangered or threatened sea turtles, the native Anastasia Island beach mice, gopher tortoises, and shorebirds. Each spring our beaches our buzzing with activity as coastal wildlife use our beaches and dunes for nesting and foraging that continues throughout the summer months.

It is the responsibility of the business or property owner to contract and coordinate with the appropriate franchised service provider for the collection of solid waste and recycling from all commercial facilities and businesses.

Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) – On an annual basis, St. Johns County must demonstrate how activities implemented with CDBG funds address Strategic Plan objectives and priorities identified in the Consolidated Plan. The Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) includes a summary of programmatic accomplishments and an assessment of progress toward meeting the priority needs and specific objectives identified in the County’s Consolidated Plan.

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) allocated Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funds to the State of Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO).
