St. Johns County Agriculture Takes the Spotlight on First Coast Living

Tour de Farm, Spring Plant Sale, Hastings Festival, Spud Run, and new Agriculture Advisory Committee highlight Spring 2026 season

St. Johns County’s agricultural community and spring events calendar were featured on First Coast Living on April 9, showcasing local farms, family-friendly events, and new County initiatives supporting agriculture in Northeast Florida.

Prissy Fletcher, Agricultural Liaison and Grants and Policy Analyst for the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs, and Tyler Jarnagin, Public Affairs Manager for the Office of Public Affairs, joined host Jordan Wilkerson to highlight upcoming agricultural events in St. Johns County and discuss how residents can engage with local farmers and producers. New Agriculture Advisory Committee

Fletcher and Jarnagin also promoted the inaugural St. Johns County Agriculture Advisory Committee, a newly established board appointed by the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners.

The committee will:

  • Provide guidance on agricultural policies and programs
  • Support local farmers and agribusinesses
  • Strengthen the long-term sustainability of agriculture in St. Johns County
