Board of County Commissioners Special Meeting / Budget Hearing

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of County Commissioners of St. Johns County, Florida, will hold a special meeting on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 5:01 p.m. and tentatively on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 5:01 p.m. in the County Auditorium at the County Administration Building, 500 San Sebastian View, St. Augustine, Florida.

The purpose of the special meeting is to hold a public hearing to consider and adopt the tentative millage rates and budget for Fiscal Year 2027.  The Board may also consider and take action on any other business that may lawfully come before it during the special meeting.

If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the Board of County Commissioners with respect to any matter considered at the public hearing, he/she will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purposes he/she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.

NOTICE OF NORTHWEST SECTOR COMMUNITY PLANNING PUBLIC PARTICIPATION MEETING REGARDING a Major Modification to the Grand Oaks Planned Unit Development (MAJMOD 2026-01), which requests to modify the Master Development Plan (MDP) Text and Master Development Plan (MDP) Map to reduce the maximum number of single-family units permitted in the undeveloped portions of the PUD, and set forth revised traffic mitigation requirements for said units.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT a community meeting will be held at the Grand Oaks Clubhouse, located at 1055 Turnbull Creek Road, St. Augustine, FL 32092, to discuss the proposed application on Wednesday, September 2^nd, 2026, at 6:00 P.M. The St. Johns County Board of County Commission Meetings are held the first and third Tuesdays each month commencing at 9:00 a.m. in the St. Johns County Auditorium located at 500 San Sebastian View, St. Augustine, FL. The Board reserves the right to cancel and or change the meeting schedule as needed. Most Public Hearings for the County Commission will be advertised for 9:00 a.m. It will be left to the discretion of the BCC Chair as to the most appropriate time to break for recess. *Per Board Rule 4.102: The Board shall not hold a regular meeting on the first Tuesday of January or the first Tuesday of July.
