NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of County Commissioners of St. Johns County, Florida will convene a private attorney-client session, pursuant to section 286.011(8), Florida Statutes, during its regularly scheduled Board of County Commissioners Meeting on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, beginning at 9:30 A.M. in the Executive Conference Room adjacent to the Auditorium in the County Administration complex located at 500 San Sebastian View, St. Augustine, Florida.

The following person are expected to attend the attorney client session: Joy Andrews, County Administrator; County Legal Counsel; Chair Clay Murphy; Vice-Chair Ann Taylor; Commissioner Christian Whitehurst; Commissioner Sarah Arnold; and Commissioner Krista Joseph.  A court reporter will also be in attendance at the meeting.  The meeting will be confined to settlement negotiations and litigation expense strategy pertaining to the lawsuit Robinson Improvement Company v. St. Johns County, Case No. 3:25-cv-01275-TJC-LLL,  St. Johns County is a party to that lawsuit.

The St. Johns County Board of County Commission Meetings are held the first and third Tuesdays each month commencing at 9:00 a.m. in the St. Johns County Auditorium located at 500 San Sebastian View, St. Augustine, FL. The Board reserves the right to cancel and or change the meeting schedule as needed. Most Public Hearings for the County Commission will be advertised for 9:00 a.m. It will be left to the discretion of the BCC Chair as to the most appropriate time to break for recess. *Per Board Rule 4.102: The Board shall not hold a regular meeting on the first Tuesday of January or the first Tuesday of July. NOTICE OF NORTHWEST SECTOR COMMUNITY PLANNING PUBLIC PARTICIPATION MEETING REGARDING Shoppes at Mill Creek Forest Planned Unit Development (PUD) Application for Major Modification (MAJMOD 2026000013).
This community workshop is being held to allow the public an opportunity to learn about the project identified as Shoppes at Mill Creek Forest Major Modification located at 0 Greenbriar Road, Saint Johns, FL 32259. The subject parcel is located south of Greenbriar Road; specifically, this parcel is separated by Longleaf Pine Parkway at the south corners of Greenbriar Road and Longleaf Pine Parkway. Request for a Major Modification to the Shoppes at Mill Creek Forest PUD (Ordinance 2018-45, as amended), to allow a land use exchange converting 120,000 square feet of permitted professional office space to 41,500 square feet of commercial/retail space based on equivalent vehicle trips, resulting in a maximum of 440,500 square feet of commercial/retail space and 15,000 square feet of professional office space. This modification does not result in an increase of currently approved uses.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of County Commissioners of St. Johns County, Florida, will hold a special meeting on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 5:01 p.m. and tentatively on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 5:01 p.m. in the County Auditorium at the County Administration Building, 500 San Sebastian View, St. Augustine, Florida.

The purpose of the special meeting is to hold a public hearing to consider and adopt the tentative millage rates and budget for Fiscal Year 2027.  The Board may also consider and take action on any other business that may lawfully come before it during the special meeting.

If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the Board of County Commissioners with respect to any matter considered at the public hearing, he/she will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purposes he/she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
